DURANT, Okla. – The Alumni Association of Southeastern Oklahoma State University will host the annual Gold and Blue Scholarship Gala and Auction on Saturday, February 13.
The Gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Visual and Performing Arts Center, 1614 N. First Avenue.
In the past 17 years of the Gold and Blue Gala, the Alumni Association Endowment Scholarship account has grown to more than $270,000, while providing annual scholarship support to the University.
Last year’s event drew a record-setting crowd of 200 guests and raised more than $50,000 to be awarded to Southeastern students.
“This is a major fundraiser for the Association,’’ said director of alumni relations Stephanie Davison. “Thanks to the guests and sponsors of the Gala, the Southeastern Alumni Association awards scholarships, which is one of the reasons the Association exists. We do our best to bring high quality, desirable items to the live and silent auctions and provide a full evening of entertainment, including food and dancing to live music by The Decades. Every alumni and friend of Southeastern is invited to join in the fun.’’
Attire for the Gala can be anything from blue jeans to as dress-up as “anybody desires.”
Tickets are $75 per person for a complete evening of entertainment for a worthy cause. Tickets are available for purchase at the Southeastern Welcome Center. They may also be purchased online at http://alumni/SE.edu/.

The community of businesses and Southeastern alumni support the Gold and Blue Gala each year by donating unique and valuable items for the live and silent auctions. Live-auction items often include collectible art, one-of-a-kind custom fabricated items and exclusive experiences.
Examples of silent-auction items include weekend vacations, fun-day classes/experiences, local dining packages and special apparel.
